1st Pacific Climate Outlook Forum (PICOF)

The 1st Pacific Islands Regional Climate Outlook Forum is taking place from 12 to 16 October at Laucala Campus, Suva, Fiji.

The meteorology and the water communities will meet to discuss seasonal climate outlooks and how they can be applied by communities in the Pacific for day-to-day decision making.

The forum will also include i) capacity building on seasonal climate prediction tools; ii) roundtable discussion on the current seasonal climate outlook for the months ahead; iii) translation of the seasonal climate outlook for the water sector for on the ground actions including capacity development to support national drought management; iv) discussion on how to improve national and regional collaboration and information exchange between the meteorology and water communities
