The Norwegian Refugee Council has signed an agreement with the World Meteorological Organization to send experts into the field to increase the capacity of national institutions to develop climate information and products that will help vulnerable African countries to cope with climate change, extreme weather and uncertain rainfall patterns.

GFCS e-tutorial to be released in June

UNITAR and the GFCS Office will release in June 2015 an on-line free-of-charge tutorial designed for national experts and open to practitioners and the general public, with the aim of promoting GFCS and raising awareness of its objectives and the benefits of climate services. It will include basic training to create a common standard of understanding of the main aspects of climate services.
