On 8 November 2017 from 14:00-14:45, Filipe Lucio, director of the Global Framework for Climate Services (GFCS) Office in the WMO Secretariat, delivered a 45-minute Climate Classroom lesson on Climate Services for Decision Making. The Climate Classroom @COP23 is an innovative learning experience, designed for anyone interested in getting up to speed on selected climate change topics and open particularly to delegates of countries facing special challenges, in particular African countries, Least Developed Countries, Small Island Developing States and Landlocked Developing Countries. This is especially relevant for delegates attending the COP for the first time, junior delegates, representatives of non-Party stakeholders, and anyone interested in a quick introduction to a new topic.

The Climate Classroom is organized by UN CC:Learn and supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC)
